A wave of bold creativity is transforming downtown Hyannis, thanks to the Cultural Center of Cape Cod’s Hyannis Arts Campus offering a dynamic, multi-faceted destination designed to spark imagination, ignite community engagement, and celebrate the arts in all their forms.

Located just a short walk from Hyannis Main Street and Hyannis Harbor, this once-quiet corner of Cape Cod has become a village of creativity, where art, education, play, and cultural exchange converge to create an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. The creation of the Guyer ART BARN was made possible through a visionary collaboration between the Town of Barnstable, ArtsBarnstable, and the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, which together transformed a historic space into a next-generation cultural institution.

The children’s maker space also benefits from its location within the Commonwealth’s TDI District and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District, where strategic investment has brought new life to underutilized cultural assets and seeded a creative economy corridor along South Street in downtown Hyannis.

This is more than a campus, it’s a movement,” says Molly Demeulenaere, Executive Director of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. We’ve created a space where children can make a mess and call it art, where fire transforms glass, where professional artists live and work among us, and where the public can engage with the process of creativity up close. The Hyannis HyARTS Campus is an invitation, to families, artists, educators, and dreamers, to come and explore.

Whether you’re a family looking for enriching activitiesan artist seeking inspirationor a traveler exploring Cape Cod, the downtown Hyannis Campus offers a one-of-a-kind destination to connect, create, and be inspired. Here, art is not a product, it’s a process, a community, and a celebration of what’s possible when people come together through creativity.

We want everyone who steps onto this space to feel the joy of making something, discovering something, or connecting with someone,” says Demeulenaere. This is what a cultural center should be, a living, breathing space where art and life meet.”
