The Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties open for the season, Friday, May 15, 2026. A must stop in downtown Hyannis HyArts Cultural District, visit 12 colorful seaside shanties in TWO beautiful and breezy locations along the Walkway-to-the-Sea: Harbor Overlook, 51 Ocean Street and Bismore Park, 180 Ocean Street. Meet Cape Cod artists and artisans who work and sell their hand-made or designed wares in the heart of Hyannis’s working waterfront. Over 85 different artisans are slated to participate this season. Artists change weekly, discover new faces each visit. There is no fee to browse and if purchases are made it is a fabulous way to shop local and support the creative economy. Grab a snack at the Harbor Overlook Snack Shack featuring pop-up food vendors throughout the season.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Town-run Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanty program provides affordable rental space for Cape Cod creatives to work and sell in our beautiful, coastal-inspired ‘seaside studios’. This program provides prime visibility and opportunities for artists to gain and improve business, marketing and selling skills, connect with other artists and meet visitors from around the region and the world.
