UPDATE: On Tuesday, February 17, work will occur at the below locations, and require a single-lane alternating traffic pattern. This work will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
A contractor working for the Town of Barnstable, Lawrence-Lynch Corp., is scheduled to complete upgrades to pedestrian and traffic signals, improve curb ramps and crosswalks, and resurface pavement at the following intersections:
- Main Street at Center Street (Hyannis)
- Main Street at Camp Street (Hyannis)
To facilitate this work, traffic modifications including temporary lane closures with single-lane alternating traffic, or temporary lane narrowing, are anticipated.
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas and follow posted safety and detour signs.

Beginning Monday, March 24, 2025, a contractor working for the Town of Barnstable, Lawrence-Lynch Corporation, will upgrade pedestrian and traffic signals, improve curb ramps and crosswalks, and resurface pavement at the following intersections:
- Main Street at Center Street (Hyannis)
- Main Street at Camp Street (Hyannis)
As a result, traffic modifications including temporary lane closures with single-lane alternating traffic, or temporary lane narrowing, are anticipated in the above areas. Work will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and is anticipated to be completed by May 2025.
