Overnight construction on Route 28 is temporarily paused as a result of seasonal asphalt plant closure(s).
The Town of Barnstable’s contractor, C.C. Construction, Inc., continues planned sewer construction along Route 28 as part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project – North Phase.
To facilitate this work, Route 28, from Phinney’s Lane to Old Stage Road, will be closed during the hours of 7:00PM to 6:00AM, Monday through Thursday evening. The road will reopen and resume normal traffic patterns at 6:00AM.
Residential and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction. Local businesses will remain open during their normal operating hours and will be accessible from the east end of the closure, at Phinney’s Lane. Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide motorists safely through the construction zone. Motorists are urged to reduce speed, use caution, and follow all safety and detour signage when traveling through the work area.
