On Monday, November 3, 2025, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable is scheduled to pave a portion of Ocean Street, Hyannis, from, and including, the intersection of Ocean Street and Gosnold Street to the eastern end of Hawes Avenue. As a result, traffic will be reduced to a single lane alternating within the vicinity. Construction will take place from approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed the same day.

Throughout construction local residential, business, and emergency access will be maintained. Traffic control will be onsite to assist motorists as needed. As always, please slow down and use caution when traveling through work zones.

This work is part of the Ocean Street and Gosnold Street Improvements Project, which aims to enhance pedestrian access and traffic safety, while also updating existing infrastructure including water main. The project has also included the construction of a new entrance to Kalmus Beach.
