Final Paving on Basset Lane and North Street
Starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025, and continuing into Thursday, September 15, Basset Lane and North Street will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 AM–4:00 PM to facilitate final paving of the road. The road will reopen outside of work hours.
Throughout construction, businesses will be open and accessible, via posted detours, during their scheduled operating hours. After 4:00 PM, the road will be re-opened to all traffic.
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas and follow posted safety and detour signs.

Starting the week of March 17, 2025, a private contractor is scheduled to begin sewer construction along Bassett Lane and North Street. To facilitate this work, North Street, from Sea Street Extension to Bassett Lane, will be closed to thru traffic during construction hours. Work will occur Monday – Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM and is anticipated to take several weeks to complete.
Throughout active construction, access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists. Outside of active construction hours, the road will be open to all traffic.
