Starting Monday, March 16, 2026, the Town of Barnstable’s contractor, Robert B. Our Co. Inc., will begin sewer construction within a portion of Bumps River Road, Osterville as part of the Route 28 West Sewer Expansion Project.
This work marks the first segment of in-road construction in this area. During construction hours, Bumps River Road will be closed from Osterville-West Barnstable Road to Pond Street, as shown in the accompanying figure. Construction will take place Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting. Detour signage will be in place and local resident and business access will be maintained. This phase of work is anticipated to be completed by the end of May.
