The Town of Barnstable invites interested individuals to attend an informational meeting to discuss sewer construction plans for the Route 28 West Sewer Expansion Project. The informational session will be held:
IN-PERSON on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 6:00 PM
Location: Barnstable Adult Community Center, 825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis, MA 02601
This meeting will be recorded and available for future viewing through Barnstable Government Access.
Acting as the backbone of westward expansion for the Town’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP), this project will facilitate future sewer expansion within the Three Bays and Popponesset Bay Watersheds. This project will install new sewers in the following areas:
- Route 28 from Route 149 to Old Stage Road
- Osterville-West Barnstable Road from Flint Street to Bumps River Road
- Bumps River Road from Osterville-West Barnstable Road to the Cape Cod Collaborative School
- Old East Osterville Road
- Oldham Road
- Marion Way
- Marquand Drive
Members of the Barnstable Department of Public Works staff will provide a presentation on the project and answer general questions from the public.
