The Town of Barnstable and its contractor, Robert B. Our (RBO), will begin construction on the first phase of the Sandy Neck Beach Long-Term Coastal Resiliency Project.
To facilitate this work, the Lower Parking Lot is expected to be closed beginning September 22, 2025 (including weekends). The Upper Parking Lot will remain mostly open. During construction hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM), the parking spaces closest to the bathhouse will be closed off and the bathhouse closed. The Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Entrance Trail, Marsh Trail, and Gatehouse will remain open during this phase.
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas and follow posted safety and detour signs.
If you have any questions or wish to receive project updates, please contact Kelly Collopy, Communications Manager at the Department of Public Works, at 508-790-6400 or Kelly.Collopy@town.barnstable.ma.us
