A contractor working for the Town of Barnstable, C.C. Construction, continues to advance sewer along Shootflying Hill Road as part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project – North Phase. Due to the crew location, access to the Lake Wequaquet Boat Ramp located at 460 Shootflying Hill Road will be temporarily impacted, as outlined below:
- On Monday, April 27, there will be limited access, and motorists should approach the boat ramp from the north (via Service Road/Route 6)
- On Tuesday, April 28, the public boat ramp will be closed during construction hours due to construction occurring immediately in front of the ramp.
- From Wednesday, April 29, to Friday, May 1, there will be limited access, and motorists should approach the boat ramp from the south (via Route 28)
- After Friday, May 1, normal access to the boat ramp will resume and motorists should approach the boat ramp from the south (via Route 28)

Construction will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside of construction hours, the boat ramp will be open and accessible. Please note, as construction progresses north on Shootflying Hill Road, parking areas to the north of the boat ramp will be extremely limited. Work along Shootflying Hill Road is anticipated to pause for the season on June 25, 2026 and resume in Fall 2026.
Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists navigate through the construction area as needed. Please exercise extreme caution and follow all posted safety and detour signs.
