The Town of Barnstable will be temporarily restricting parking beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 6:00 AM within the west portions of the Town Hall parking lot supporting the Hyannis Public Library. This closure is to support the start of the Hyannis Public Library’s renovation project.
Cones and barriers will be placed on site directing traffic through the east portion of parking lot stalls.
Handicap parking spaces and public access to the building will not be impacted by this restriction.
Parking restrictions continue in various configurations throughout the project and will remain in place until the work is complete and site is clear for public access.
Updates will be provided on a weekly basis through the Town of Barnstable’s BarnstableeNews.com website and on the MyBarnstable app (sign up for the Town Hall Parking Lot Construction updates group).
