Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) Sewer Expansion Project

Construction Schedule – Weekly Update

The Strawberry Hill Road and Route 28 East Sewer Expansion Projects are ongoing with construction schedule update as outlined below.

Week of 12/12/22 to 12/16/22

  • Sewer Main Installation

Sewer main installation will progress at two locations: on Phinney’s Lane from Huckins Neck Road to Longview Drive as well as Phinney’s Lane from Route 28 to Great Marsh Road. Road closure and detour will be in place, as shown in Figure 1, below. All closed roadways will remain accessible to residents and businesses throughout construction.

  • Sewer Pump Station

Sewer pump station work will occur at 528 Craigville Beach Road and 1456 Falmouth Road/ Route 28.

Week of 12/19/22 to 12/23/22

  • Sewer Main Installation

Sewer main installation will progress at two locations: on Phinney’s Lane from Huckins Neck Road to Longview Drive as well as Phinney’s Lane from Route 28 to Great Marsh Road. Road closure and detour will be in place, with resident and business access only.

  • Sewer Pump Station

Sewer pump station work will continue at 528 Craigville Beach Road and 1456 Falmouth Road/ Route 28.

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling on Route 28

Starting, Monday 12/19/22, horizontal directional drilling will occur at the intersection of Route 28 and Strawberry Hill Road. Strawberry Hill Road from West Main Street to Route 28 and from Route 28 to Wequaquet Lane will need to be closed to accommodate this work. Traffic on Route 28 will not require a detour. Additional details and a full traffic management plan to come. 

 

All closed roadways will remain accessible to residents and businesses throughout construction. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
