On Thursday, March 30, 2023, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable will be performing a test pit within the roadway of Ocean Street, in preparation for future utility work anticipated in April. As a result, Ocean Street, from Old Colony Road to Bay Street will be closed to thru traffic, as shown in the Ocean Street Detour Figure below. Work is expected to take one day to complete.
Road closures with posted detours will be in place, along with police details to assist in directing traffic. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
