(HYANNIS, MA – March 4, 2024) Starting Monday, March 11, 2024, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable is scheduled to commence work at the intersection of West Main Street & Pitcher’s Way, Hyannis. Activity will include the installation of new traffic and pedestrian signals, new crosswalk construction, and repaving of the intersection. As a result, at times, temporary lane closures with single-lane alternating traffic will be required. The intersection, residential properties, and businesses within the vicinity will remain open and accessible throughout construction.
Work will occur Monday through Friday, from approximately 7:00AM to 3:30PM. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 30, 2024. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road work areas. Follow posted safety and detour signs as well as directions from onsite traffic control.
