Beginning Monday, March 3, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable, C.C. Construction, Inc., is scheduled to begin installation of sewer along Shootflying Hill Road as part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project-North Phase. This work will begin in the vicinity of 944 Shootflying Hill Road and proceed north towards Service Road.
To facilitate this work, Shootflying Hill Road will be closed to thru traffic from Great Marsh Road to Service Road during construction hours, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This traffic pattern is anticipated to remain in place through May.
Throughout active construction, access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Dependent on the location of the active work zone, it may be necessary to access properties along Shootflying Hill Road from alternate directions. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists. Outside of active construction hours, the road will be open to all traffic.
