SPS New England Inc., acting through MassDOT, will be replacing the barriers at the existing Rt. 149 bridge that crosses over Rt. 6. The project includes the Installation of temporary construction signage, selective clearing and thinning, staged removal and replacement of bridge barrier and end posts, bridge pavement micromilling and Superpave Waterproofing Surface Course placement, pavement markings and incidental items necessary to complete the work. Weather pending, construction will be on-going, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM until completion of the work. Work within Route 149 is anticipated to be ongoing for the next 20-months. The construction will be staged with lane shifts, and two-way traffic will be maintained throughout construction. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
