For the month of October, the Town of Barnstable will have Association to Preserve Cape Cod continue sampling ponds in the high and moderate tiers.
Currently, Lovells and Long Pond Marstons Mills are listed in the high tier, so sampling will continue weekly until lower levels are measured.
Parker Pond and Schoolhouse Pond are in the moderate tier and will be sampled bi-weekly until lower levels are measured.
All other locations are in the Low tier, so regular sampling for these locations has ended.
We remind residents that cyanobacteria blooms are still possible outside of the bathing season. If you see a possible cyanobacteria bloom, avoid contact with the water.
