Starting Monday, March 18, 2024, the Town of Barnstable will commence its annual Drainage Improvements Program. Work will occur on the following roadways throughout the season:
- Santuit-Newtown Road, Marstons Mills
- Seaview Avenue, Osterville
- Bayview Circle, Osterville
- Goff Terrace, Centerville
- Bumps River Road, Centerville
- Spice Lane, Osterville
- Eel River Road, Osterville
- Hyannis Road, Barnstable
- Swift Avenue, Osterville
- Hyannis Avenue, Hyannisport
- Irving Avenue, Hyannisport
- Franklin Avenue, Hyannis
- Race Lane, Marstons Mills
- South Street @ Pine Street, Hyannis
- Riverview Lane, Centerville
As a result, localized traffic will be reduced to a single-lane alternating, surrounding each work zone. These drainage modifications will improve the stormwater collection system in this area. Work will be occurring Monday through Friday, from approximately 7:00AM to 4:00PM, weather permitting.
Traffic control will be available onsite to assist in directing motorists as needed. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
