WHO: General Public; people of all ages and abilities who want to play or just be in the audience

COST: FREE

Description: In honor of international Make Music Day on Tuesday June 21, Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) is celebrating the official start to summer with a free participatory percussion concert at its Ropes Field conservation property in Cotuit with festivities starting at 6:00 pm. The public is invited to BYOFP (bring their own flowerpot) and a blanket or lawn chair, make pollinator-themed arts/crafts with the Cotuit Library preceding the concert, and rehearse/perform the concert under the direction of guest conductor Su D’Ambrosio from Cape Symphony. The event, also part of the conservation community’s four-day Celebrate the Solstice Cape Cod celebration, will conclude at 7:30 pm. Free parking is available at Lowell Park. Free Vic Firth mallets available will supplies last. Heavy rain cancels.
