Temporary lane restrictions will be in place

BARNSTABLE/YARMOUTH – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be conducting asphalt pavement repairs and improvements on a section of Main Street starting in Barnstable and ending in Yarmouth.  The work will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, and then from Monday, May 2, through Thursday, May 5. There will be no work on Friday, April 29. The work will be conducted in the vicinity of the Route 28 intersection, Bayview Street to Route 28.

The work will require lane restrictions and/or alternating one-way traffic. Standard temporary traffic control management operations will be utilized including the use of police details.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
