The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works is scheduled to install stop signs at the intersection of Oak Hill Road & Pine Valley Road in Hyannis. The work is anticipated to be performed during the week of August 16, 2021, pending favorable weather.
This work will involve placing stop signs on sign posts in the road shoulders and marking stop lines on the pavement at each of the four approaches to this intersection. In addition, advance warning signs will be installed and some roadside vegetation has been trimmed.
The work will require each approach lane to be closed for about an hour while the work is underway. Drivers will be directed around the work areas while the work is in progress.
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road work areas. Follow posted safety and detour signs as well as directions from police officers/flaggers.
