Town Clerk Ann Quirk informs us that 22,000 plus Town of Barnstable census forms were mailed out on January 18, 2022. This is the state mandated census/street listing mailing conducted every year by all 351 Cities and Towns in Massachusetts. This is done yearly for many reasons such as:
- to maintain an up-to-date voter list,
- to provide the town with information regarding the number of school aged children who will be entering the school system,
- to provide the information necessary for veterans returning from overseas duty and receiving a $1,000 bonus from the state.
Residents are encouraged to return their census as soon as possible.
