Route 28 Sewer Expansion Project
In-road sewer construction will resume as part of the Route 28 East Sewer Expansion Project. As a result, traffic impacts will vary within the vicinity of Phinney’s Lane, Route 28 and West Main Street, dependent upon the nature and progress of work.
During the week of Tuesday, September 5 – Friday, September 8, 2023, construction activity will be limited to the Phinney’s Lane Pump Station, located at 456 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Centerville, as well as within a targeted portion of the Phinney’s Lane roadway. As a result, a small section of Phinney’s Lane, from Route 28 to Great Marsh Road, will be closed. Vehicular traffic on Route 28 will be maintained, as shown in the accompanying map titled, Phinney’s Lane Sewer Construction Week of 9-5-23. Traffic control will be onsite to assist motorists.
