This is the final workshop on water resources in the Town of Barnstable. This workshop focused on Surface, Freshwater, and Coastal Resources.

 

Town Council President Felicia Penn called the meeting to order and Town Clerk Ann Quirk took the Roll Call. Town Council Vice President Craig Tamash introduced Army Veteran Jim Lichwell, a resident of Centerville, who served from 1976 to 1979 as a Pharmacy Specialist at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Lichwell returned to school to become a Registered Nurse through the GI Bill. He worked at Worcester State Hospital and has volunteered at the Royal in Cotuit. Mr. Lichwell offered a Moment of Silence in honor of Navy veteran Gage Michael Flanagan who died suddenly on October 2, 2021 while serving active duty in the Navy in Point Loma, CA. He was born on Nantucket and graduated from Barnstable High School in 2018. While in high school, he was a member of the lacrosse and wrestling teams.
