Starting Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 10, 2023 between 7:00AM and 4:00 PM, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works is scheduled to collect soil borings at various points, progressing from Craigville Beach Road to Shootflying Hill Road.
Localized traffic will be limited to one-lane alternating surrounding each drill location. Police officers will be available to assist in directing traffic. This soil boring and sampling is in preparation for sewer expansion as part of Phase 1 of the Town’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP).
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and traffic signs.
