2023 Drainage Improvements
Starting Monday, September 25, 2023, the Town of Barnstable will begin implementing its annual drainage improvements program. The first phase of work will occur within the vicinity of Carl Avenue in Hyannis. As a result, localized traffic will be reduced to a single-lane alternating, surrounding the work zone.
These drainage modifications will improve the stormwater collection system in this area. Work is expected to be completed within the week, weather permitting.
Traffic control will be available onsite to assist in directing motorists. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
