THE TOWN OF BARNSTABLE INVITES MUSEUMS, ATTRACTIONS, RESTAURANTS, SHOPS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS TO APPLY FOR DISPLAY SPACE AT TWO BUSY CENTERS FOR PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Hyannis, MA – June 16, 2022) Tourism based businesses and cultural organizations are invited to register for the expanded Town of Barnstable Brochure Program which offers a limited number of display spaces for distribution of marketing brochures at busy locations where tourists look for information about local attractions and events.  The cost is $100 per space for non-profit cultural attractions and $200 per space for tourism based businesses seeking to distribute brochures to consumers.  Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.  Online applications are available athttps://www.cognitoforms.com/TownOfBarnstable1/_2022TownOfBarnstableBrochureProgram

The Brochure Program provides businesses with space for their takeaway materials at busy welcome centers in the year-round Hyannis Youth & Community Center and at the seasonal Bismore Park Welcome Center located at Hyannis Harbor.  Both locations offer high foot traffic; with consumers looking for leisure activities and destinations to do and see during their visit to the area. Tourism related brochures and rack cards are placed in highly visible and easily accessible display units at both locations.

The Welcome Center at Bismore Park at Hyannis Harbor is open seasonally and staffed daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day by helpful Gateway Greeters who answer questions and assist visitors with parking.  Brochures are displayed where visitors can easily access them during the hours of operation.  Greeters will often provide visitors with “goody bags” containing personalized suggestions for activities and events, creating a positive first impression that often results in return visits!

The Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC), located nearby at 141 Bassett Lane, is open year round and hosts hundreds of public and private events, programs and sports tournaments that attract spectators who pass through the main lobby where brochures are prominently displayed.

BROCHURES: A standard size 3.75”x 8.5” trifold or rack card format printed on cover stock is suggested. There are very limited spaces for magazine sizes, but staff will work with you to do their best to accommodate your needs.  Quantity: 1,000 to start.  Participants will be notified when the supply is running low.

RESTRICTIONS: Some brochures are not permitted: non-tourist related businesses; literature that rates travel attractions; political or religious tracts, etc.
