10 a.m. at the JFK Hyannis Museum, 397 Main Street, Hyannis.
This year, Memorial Day falls on President Kennedy’s birthday.
The museum will open at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day
Memorial Day Parade participants will assemble in the Centerville Public Library/South Congregational Church parking lot at 9:30 AM fallowing the pancake breakfast at the Church. The parade step off is at 10:00 AM led by a Barnstable PD and Scout Troop 54 color guards and a marching band. Proceeding north on Main Street Cub Scout Pack 54 and 150 will carry a 20×50 American flag followed by numerous antique military vehicles, Veterans Groups, and local citizens. The parade will end at Monument Square (Old Stage and Main) Wreathes will be placed at the various War Memorials, “Taps” by Troop 54 bugler, poetry by Veterans for Peace Poetry contest winners, speeches by visiting dignitaries and local politician. The event is expected to end by 12:30 PM.
