The Route 28 East Hyannis Corridor Study expands from Yarmouth Road in Barnstable to East Main Street in Yarmouth. The study seeks to recommend a set of key short- and long-term recommendations to address various issues along the corridor. The focus of this public input session is to gather public feedback on issues, opportunities, and visions for the future of the corridor.

The corridor is located between two Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) projects; intersection reconstruction at Route 28 and Yarmouth Road and a Route 28 repaving project east of the East Main Street intersection in Yarmouth. The Cape Cod Commission, under the Unified Planning Work Program, is conducting a transportation planning study for the corridor to develop context-sensitive improvements that will provide convenient access within the study area for all users of the roadway system, including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and motorists.

Guided by input from the public, Commission staff will prepare a slate of draft alternatives for the corridor and present them at a second public meeting later in the project.
