The Town of Barnstable, in partnership with the Barnstable Adult Community Center, Friends of the Barnstable Council on Aging, Barnstable Police Department, and the five Village Fire Districts, is excited to invite residents to the 3rd Annual Community Safety Day on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Barnstable Adult Community Center, located at 825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis, MA.
What is Community Safety Day? Community Safety Day brings together Barnstable’s public safety resources to provide residents with vital tools for staying. This FREE event offers fun, educational, and safety resources all in one convenient location. Residents will have the opportunity to learn real-world safety tips and gather helpful information to ensure their safety at home, online, and in the community. Attendees can explore a wide range of safety topics, including:
- Practicing and understanding fire safety in the home
- Free blood pressure and wellness checks
- Outdoor safety and protection advice
- How to spot and report internet and phone scams
Live Demonstrations, Knowledge Tables & FREE Refreshments!
Over 30 professional and government agencies will participate, offering live demonstrations, knowledge tables, and interactive exhibits. Residents can ask safety experts questions, take part in informative demos, and enjoy free healthy snacks throughout the day.
