Yesterday afternoon, January 11, 2022 an email communication was sent out to residents who applied for online beach parking permits last year. The email was intended to notify recipients that they could now apply for a 2022 beach parking permit online. Regrettably, due to a glitch in the permitting software, this email was not sent out as intended and was missing essential information that has caused much confusion. OpenGov, the third-party vendor that provides this service on behalf of the Town of Barnstable, has apologized for any confusion and inconvenience this has caused. They have assured us that they are working to rectify the issue and will be sending out the corrected information once the matter has been resolved.
